Last night I had the honour of attending one of the best events in London for 2015.
Head of make-up for Kryolan UK Paul Merchant has devised and created this breathtaking campaign which explores a journey of character transformation through a variety of make-up techniques and looks, he said: “The campaign was inspired by a Greek mythological tale of betrayal, transformation and power”. Persephone’s Rise forms the inspiration behind Kryolan’s new campaign that also includes the 2016 calendar and the cover story of M.U.I. Issue 2.”
Upon arrival at The Hoxton Basement in London, we were greeted with an amazing installation in the middle of the gallery with models looking breathtaking with recreated looks from 2016 Calendar and M.U.I Issue 2, super inspiring makeup artistry for any Makeup Artists and Beauty lovers, everything was perfect, makeup, hair, styling and the close up photography of each look which adorned the walls by the amazing photographer Camille Senson.
The evening started with an introduction by Dominik Langer Kryolan Director, he greeted guests with an introduction to the campaign which was followed by Paul Merchant talking us through the concept behind the looks in more detail and introducing us all with all the creatives involved in the campaign.
We had an amazing time, the food was delicious and the champagne flowing all night long. It was great to catch up with so many of my friends and amazing creatives, makeup artists, bodypainters,VIP guests from the beauty industry and the super polite staff from KryolanUK store, such beautiful ladies.
I went with my gorgeous friend and awesome hair stylist Anoushka Romanenkova, we had a great time and I took some lovely photos. Please click on the gallery to view. Upon leaving we were presented with a lovely gift bag which held an awesome 2016 Calendar with photos from Persephone’s Rise campaign, a copy of the M.U.I Magazine, and lots of makeup, eyeshadow palettes glitter, eye inks etc. The new issue of M.U.I Magazine is fabulous, super glossy and great quality and is filled with amazing content, including a closer look at Persephone’s Rise, airbrush tips, safety information.
Thank you so much Kryolan for inviting me to all your fabulous events and all the inspiration you give me and all the amazing gifts.
